Big Dreams and Cold Beer
© 2012 Jackie Richter & Vic Arnold

It was Karaoke night at the old Tin Can.
In swaggered a worn out cowboy man.
He said I'm giving up my singing career
and get me a job where the pay is clear.
I smiled, said, "Son we don't serve that here.
Just Big Dreams and Cold Beer."
Chorus
I said, "Big Dreams and Cold Beer.
The sky's the limit if you believe in it.
You believe in yourself you can get it all here.
Big Dreams and Cold Beer."

He said, "tell me bartender what am I doing wrong?
I'm just a country boy singing my songs.
I'm never gonna be a big country star
if I spend my life working smokey bars.
I wanna see my name up in lights one day."
Well, I just passed another cold beer his way.

When that cowboy stepped onto the stage
we heard nothing better from a guy that age.
The crowd went wild as he lived his dream.
All the men whooped and the women all screamed.
Pretty lady at the bar who looked real sad
said, "I'll have whatever that cowboy had."
I smiled, said, "Momma you can get that here.
Big Dreams and Cold Beer."
