I'm not sure if I can contribute much to this discussion other than to say my Tascam 208i is the hub of my audio system and has met all my needs for at least 9 years now; with zero problems across many OS updates including Win10 and Win11. I regularly record bass, keys and drumpad with it. The firmware is stable, the software is robust, I can't detect any latency issues and it has all the ins and outs I need. It's also reasonably priced. In short, it's a mature and proven product. 208i
