PhillyJazz Journeyman Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 595 Philly	I had both the SD-4 and the Sonic Cell for side-by-side testing. While the Sonic Cell was very versatile (especially with the Patchman enhancements)it sounded nowhere near as real as the Ketron. The acoustic instruments sampled by Ketron are the best (especially the saxes.) I sold the Sonic Cell on eBay after about two weeks of comparison. But again, I mostly play bebop, ballads and bossas so those are the sounds that appeal to me. If you are a rock / funk player, the Sonic Cell may be a better fit.
