One important tip: when renaming, be consistent with your names so you can correctly rename back to the original.

In Jim's example, add _old to each one so you know to remove just that to get back to original name.

I knew someone that renamed them in different ways then had a difficult time getting them back to the correct names. It's a safe easy way to test if done consistently.
