Joe, for the 70's -90's music I have and suggest the following, however these VSTis can be used in any era and genre:

Kontakt - for the basics
There are a lot of patches you can buy for Kontakt, including Vintage organs , Vintage horns for funk and a ton of others

Korg M1 and Korg Wavestation - obviously for the Korg stuff
These contain all of the cards for both instruments

Fm8 - for the Yamaha stuff.
FM8 will read most all of the Yamaha synth patches, i.e DX7, TX 81z etc

Samplemodeling - for brass and woodwinds - best if used with wind controller or keyboard with either breath controller or expression pedal

My goal this weekend is to move just enough each day so that no one pokes me to see if I'm dead or not.

64 bit Win 10 Pro, the latest BiaB/RB, Roland Octa-Capture audio interface, a ton of software/hardware
