Final post for now. This is just a love song. The chorus references are what kids learn, somewhat imperfectly, in American history. In recognition of the forum's global membership... Columbus "discovered" America by crossing the Atlantic Ocean in the 15th century. Ponce de Leon searched for the Fountain of Youth in Florida (USA) in the 16th century. Charles Lindbergh was the first person to fly solo across the Atlantic in 1927. Alexander Graham Bell "invented" the telephone in 1875 by hearing his assistant, Watson, energize their experiment.
