This little sketch which recently won me the competition on votes. This song was inspired and is dedicated to a work colleague, Douglas Mokoena, who shared some of his childhood memories as a cattle herder. Style is WRLDROK2.STY (World Beat 2 - South African Dan) Style MIDI Instruments are : Kalimba (109), RealTracks in song: ~2580:Bass, Synth, RnBModernSub Ev16 100 Acoustic guitar recorded Telecaster recorded Cattle, sheep with compliments of local feeding pens and bird recordings done on various outings with a friend's tascam field recorder BIAB tracks transported and guitars recorded in Reaper Please enjoy Track available here https://soundcloud.com/chris-oosthuizen-1/african-joy

Hi!,
A very interesting project ... creative and different! Although I've been to over 40 countries, I've never been to South Africa. Now I know what to expect should I ever get there!
This has a very casual, rural sound ... just right for what you were attempting to do!

Band-in-a-Box 2026 Video: AI Stems & Notes - split polyphonic audio into instruments and transcribe
This video demonstrates how to use the new AI-Notes feature together with the AI-Stems splitter, allowing you to select an audio file and have it separated into individual stems while transcribing each one to its own MIDI track. AI-Notes converts polyphonic audio—either full mixes or individual instruments—into MIDI that you can view in notation or play back instantly.
