Recorded Oboe on channel 1 selected channel 1 for track to be recorded plays fine select channel 2 for strings selected channel 2 for track to be recorded The oboe now is using the string patch. So the issue isn't how it is being saved which is what I perceived. The issue is the sounds changing although they are on different midi channels as I record subsequent tracks.
