Thought I'd share this find with all the wonderful folks here. :-)
The incredible sounds you can download here http://virtualplaying.com/virtual-playing-orchestra/ contain a wealth of exquisitely sampled instruments that sound infinitely better than those that come with the free Sforzando player and contain dozens more instruments.
Perhaps the best part yet is that they come in .SFZ format and can be dropped right into the player you already have! After you download, unzip the file, open each directory (e.g. strings, woodwinds, etc.) select the files with .sfz extensions, and drag-drop them as shown in the screenshot.
P.S. If you get an error message (I forget what it says, make sure that none of the files selected to drop into Sforzando have non-supported extensions).
After this is done, in order to access the sounds choose the newly added "user" option which will appear in the tab below the BiaB and Tablewarp. (see additional screenshot)
Enjoy!
Band-in-a-Box 2021 PlusPAK w 2019 Bonus Pak. Custom Build Desktop PC W/ Windows 10 Home 64-bit. CPU: Intel Core i5-9600k @ 3.7GHz (6 core x 6 threads) RAM: 16GB DDR4. Storage 238GB SSD + 2.7 TB HDD. GPU: ZOTAC NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB
I downloaded them and put them on the hard drive where I keep my samples.
Not sure I understand the "update batch" (the smaller download) or what to do with it or where to place these files, since it is not a program, it is a batch of files. Do they mean you replace files in folder 1 with the files in folder 2 (SFZ files in folder 2 don't work in and of themselves.)
BUT, I used some of the string files in folder 1, version 2 or whatever, and they sound nice.
I just did an import from Sforzando menu and selected the folder where the SFZ files or whatever they are called are kept.
The cellos for example sound rich and full and I can easily this this as a complement to my other libraries when I am looking for that certain sound.
Thanks!

quick dfumb question, when I've added them to sforzando do i need to keep the original files or are they copied into a sforzando directyory? the answer affest where i store them as i have a tight c drive but space on a second internal hard drive.
