January 16, 2009 Band-in-a-Box 2009 Build 282 available
Build 282 is available for Band-in-a-Box 2009 users. This adds new features since the release of 2009, including improved support for higher bank patches. There are also improvements for Windows Vista when User Account Control is enabled, and many other fixes. Click here for more information and to download the update.

January 08, 2009 Microsoft Songsmith incorporates PG Music Technology!
Microsoft has just released a new program called Songsmith which generates musical accompaniment to match a singer's voice. Just choose a musical style, sing into your PC's microphone, and Songsmith will create backing music for you. Then share your songs with your friends and family, post your songs online, or create your own music videos.
