August 17, 2011 BB Remote Video Tutorial

The Band-in-a-Box remote app for iPhone, iPad & iPod Touch now makes playing with Band-in-a-Box even more handy! You can now practice your instrument without having to sit at your desktop computer, and still have full control over playback, conductor, and mixer features. With a simple wireless setup that connects automatically, this app is easy to use, and a lot of fun!

Support for this app has been introduced with Band-in-a-Box 2011.5 for Windows, and the app itself can be purchased from the app store. You can find it by searching for “BB remote”. Check out the video!

August 17, 2011 Update available for Band-in-a-Box 2011.5 for Windows: Build 328

Summary of Changes for Build 328
• Improved: Drag and Drop rendering, when Rendering Dialog --> "Include 2 bar Lead-In" and "Include Drum Count-in Sound" settings are set to false

• Fixed: Mono/stereo setting in the render dialog now applies to Drag and Drop. So now, for both Render and Drag and Drop:
- individual RealTracks always render as stereo
- all other tracks and Combo render mono or stereo according to the "Stereo Files" setting in the Render dialog.

• Fixed: Option to exclude lead-in from MIDI file.

• Fixed: Pickup notes may not have been rendered if the lead-in was silent.

August 10, 2011 DAW Drag n Drop Video Tutorial!

Band-in-a-Box and RealBand, while they are fantastic as individual programs, can also be used in conjunction with countless other Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs). We explore this with our brand new "Drag and Drop to DAW" video tutorial. Both Band-in-a-Box and RealBand can be put into "Plug-in" mode, where you can then drag tracks into other DAWs, and you can then process and edit the tracks in that DAW. In this video, we show you the many options involved in dragging & dropping, with examples of dragging into RealBand, Protools, Sonar, and Reaper. You can also check out our Mac Version with examples of dragging into Garageband, Protools & Logic.
