Hi All,
I have been attempting to make a simple strumming sequence using 12 bar blues with the aim of teaching my son chord playing on his guitar.
Using modify current style in style maker I have reached a road block wrt making each chord use all 6 strings and only the bottom 4 frets.
The pattern is never "Simple" even though I have edited the beats A8 to B1 as 4 single notes (crochet)
What should I be doing to eliminate the fancy chords and display 5 (or 4 or 6) strummed notes for each chord

Hi Simon,
I imagine that a large part of the problem is that what you are asking BIAB to do is not what BIAB was designed to do. That being said, it's amazing what creative thinking can accomplish with this program (as you've already pointed out using modified styles).
I'm assuming that you're using Realtracks for your guitars. If that's the case, it might be worth investigating some styles with MIDI guitar. The notes of MIDI tracks can be changed using "Notation Mode" or "Piano Roll Mode" and adapted. Then, using the "Freeze" function, these changes can be permanently saved in a file for later use. Please note that "Freeze" is only available on later versions of BIAB.
Also, if you right-click on the Chord Sheet and then select "Song Settings", there's an option in that sub-menu to "Force song to simple arrangement". This might help. Again, it's an option that was introduced on later versions of BIAB.
