You must have "Use DXi" checked in the MIDI/Audio output window, selectable from the Options menu in order to do Direct Rendering, regardless of whether there are any MIDI tracks or not. Make sure of that and it should work for you. --Mac Yes thanks. I have DXi set, and it is working.
