Tommy, I really enjoyed this one. Even though I am from Houston (I live in Central Texas now), I will forgive you for slamming my hot, miserable, traffic jam city!  Some really nice lines in this song. Good job on the pedal steel! Steve

Oh yeah, pedal steel lives! Nice to hear it. Too bad what passes for top country today has forgotten all about. I saw Paul Franklin and Vine Gill the other morning on Directv -- just the two. reminded me of how powerful steel can be.

Thanks much to all who took the time to comment. I have been trying to get a good sound on the steel by going direct and I'm not there yet. I always struggle with guitar sounds when going direct. This is all a long term learning process and the good techniques seem to be found by trial and error. I was telling someone this week about the process of writing and recording and I said it's not finished yet but at some point you just have to find a place to stop and move on. Very similar to how I lived my life. Thanks again for the listens and the comments. Tom
