A song for the times, with top class lyrics and a clever tag line, nicely done Tommy. A perfect vocal and I love the pedal steel work!

Nice Pedal Steel, and nice overall style, and together with the sensitive harmony work, provided a really good balance.

Good job, really enjoyed it.

Well done, Tommy. The PSG gives me goosebumps. The mix is very pleasant and your vox is spot on. Thanks for posting this one.

Tommy,

I really enjoyed this one. Even though I am from Houston (I live in Central Texas now), I will forgive you for slamming my hot, miserable, traffic jam city! smile

Some really nice lines in this song. Good job on the pedal steel!

Oh yeah, pedal steel lives! Nice to hear it. Too bad what passes for top country today has forgotten all about. I saw Paul Franklin and Vine Gill the other morning on Directv -- just the two. reminded me of how powerful steel can be.

This is a wonderful tune, the mix, the picking, singing, lyrics, arrangement -- the whole package.

Tommy,

What a great story told thru your lyrics.
+1 on the comments above.
Your vocals telling this story with the arrangement are first class.

Thanks for sharing you work.

Man, Tommy... I really liked this song!

Absolutely SLAMMIN' pedal steel! And as others have already said, the topic is indeed familiar to just about everybody who works in manufacturing.

Lyrics are clever and the mix put them right on top!

I look forward to hearing more from you

Thanks much to all who took the time to comment. I have been trying to get a good sound on the steel by going direct and I'm not there yet. I always struggle with guitar sounds when going direct. This is all a long term learning process and the good techniques seem to be found by trial and error. I was telling someone this week about the process of writing and recording and I said it's not finished yet but at some point you just have to find a place to stop and move on. Very similar to how I lived my life. Thanks again for the listens and the comments. Tom
