There is a Band-in-a-Box 2015 build 412 update available (Dec 15) (BETA)Download the build 412 Update. (110 MB) This is a currently a BETA update. This patch will update Band-in-a-Box 2015 to Build 412 from any previous 2015 build. The update must be installed into your existing Band-in-a-Box 2015 folder. If you have build 410 or earlier, you may wish to download the full 2015 update patch (includes some additional RealTracks updates that were in the previous patch). The patch installs many RealTracks updates; make sure to select the correct RealTracks and Drums folders so those files can be updated. Summary of Changes for Version 2015 Build 412 (Dec 15, 2014)- ** Major feature added **:
Save as Video. Now you can save your Band-in-a-Box song composition as a video, that you can upload to YouTube or work with in video programs. Just press the [Save as] button and choose 'Save as Video'. The 'video' portion is the chordsheet in Band-in-a-Box that shows the chords and a highlighted bar moving as the song plays. Song title and song info displays at the top of the window. For example, you can make a backing track for a cool chord progression, and upload it to YouTube for others to play along to. Do a visual transpose and upload a second version for Bb tenor sax players. - Fixed: When no mp3 codecs were available and render was chosen to mp3, program was sometimes locking up.
- Fixed: Icon changed for 2015 new features in some menus.
- Fixed: Most HiQ instruments have been updated - fixed tuning problems and one sustained note problem.
- Improved: RT207 - A new RT - Horn Section, Rhythm, Funk 2-part, Ev 110 (Simple with Space) adds space between riffs and sounds more like a background style.
- Fixed: RT 208 Rockabilly - RealStyle fixed.
- Fixed: RT 209 Baritone Sax - RealStyle fixed.
- Fixed: RT 210 Motown - Style Demos Audio added, some song demos updated.
- Fixed: RT 211 Motown - Demo fixed.
- Fixed: RT 212 Synths - RealStyle and demos added for Synth, ElectroFlutes, Rhythm Pop Ev 085
- Fixed: RT 216 Jazz Pollwinners - updated/fixed demos and styles.
- Fixed: Audiophile version crash when a specific P&W holds file was used.
- Updated: StylePicker list updates for new styles.
- Updated: Documentation and help file updates.
Summary of Changes for Version 2015 Build 411 (Dec 5, 2014)- Fixed: MIDI SuperTracks instant demos work from the MIDI SuperTracks Selection Dialog.
- Improved: Bar Section Letters show on the chordsheet at small font sizes.
- Improved: When using Bars Per Line or BigNote mode on Leadsheet, offers to deselect Fakesheet mode, because Bars per line is not active in fakesheet mode.
- Added: Checkmark added to the Bars Per line menu to show current setting.
- Fixed: 6% Relative Tempo setting was not working.
- Improved: Recognition of acid chunks for loops improved.
- Fixed: color selection menu wasn't working.
- Added: Hints added for Overrides dialog simple tracks.
- Updated: Messages changed when jBridge is not installed, and link to more info on jbridge.
- Fixed: Video was sometimes not clearing between songs.
- Fixed: Help | Tutorial | New Features of Version 2015 menu item was not working.
- Fixed: Tutorial #26 wording.
- Fixed: Some drum styles were listed improperly in the RealDrums Picker.
- Fixed: All RealDrums have proper memos and groove descriptions.
- Fixed: Consistent naming for bonus RT demo folders and RT215.
- Fixed: Bonus RT Strings - Replace wav files for wma files, for some audition demos.
- Fixed: Bonus RT Joe Robinson BoomChick - Style Audio Demos added; Audition files updated.
- Fixed: Bonus RT Held Styles - Style Audio Demos added; Missing audition files added.
- Fixed: Bonus RT Held styles - Piano, Electric HeldChords 60 fixed.
- Fixed: Bonus RT Rockabilly Swing - Style Demos Audio added; Some audition files updated.
- Fixed: Bonus RT Funk - Style Demos Audio added; Some audition files updated.

- Fixed: RT 223 New Orleans - Fix missing Drums audio error, incorrect filename.
- Fixed: RT 224 New Orleans Shuffle - Fix missing Drums error.
- Fixed: RT 227 Baritone Guitar - Audition files added for Custom FX.

1. Upgraded to the new patch and tried out the new video feature. Here is what I found on my end.
2. Loaded _CHETTRN.STY Chet Train Beat (130 RS) style and demo song.
3. Click on Save As, Video
4. Kept the popup at default and just clicked OK-Render Video
5. It then prompted me to save the file as an AVI type file.
6. I named the file and pointed to where I wanted it to save and clicked OK
7. It brought up a yellow message box stating Rendering file: C:bb\Data\avaim\AVIMImages\Audio.wav
8. It then brought up a green and yellow message box. Yellow says Successful render of C:\bb\Data\avim\AVIMImages\audio.wav and the green box says C:\bb\Data\avim\AVIMImages\Audio.WAV successfully saved to disk. Size is 31 MB. Click on this message to hear the file, and click on the file icon in the player to show the file.
9. The Make Video of the Chordsheet box now sits on the computer screen with the only buttons available are Cancel Rendering or Close at the bottom. Waited about 10 min and just clicked cancel.
10. I looked for the resulting AVI file where I told BIAB to render the AVI file and it is nowhere to be found.
11. I also now have 26 BMP files and 1 audio.wav file in C:\bb\Data\avim\AVIMImages directory.
Can't make it work on my end.

I get exactly the same results as jcland. The bmp files in C:\bb\Data\avim\AVIMImages are snapshots of the screen at the start of each bar.

Oh Oh - After I install the update Stylepicker stops running again and I get "Stylepicker index too high" The upgrade must have pushed me beyond the 20,000 category limit. This will only happen if you have lots of third party styles and personnel categories - like I have.
Is there any way this 20,000 limit can be raised?

Just updated to the new patch and the video rendering works just fine now.

It seems auto check for updates did not work for build 412. I had build 411 and told it to check for updates and it said I was already up to date?
So I manually downloaded update instead which worked.

Yes, because 412 is still considered a beta patch. With the passage of time (about a week), the "beta" designation is removed from the patch, or if problems are found a new beta is released.
