Hello, I am a newbie to BIAB 2015 and to any music composition software, so please bear with me.
I want to place notes on my bass clef staff. When I notate any note higher than a B2, the note gets placed in the blank area in between the treble and bass clef. I don't know what setting I need to change to allow me notate only on to the complete staff of the bass clef? What am I doing incorrectly? It is much too confusing visually to have notes in that in between section. I want to keep my bass and melody lines visually separate.
I am writing a tango in 4/4 time. How can I notate one set of triplets in to the first 2 beats? The notation lines are divided into four per beat. I will put quarter notes in to the last two beats of the measure.
I also want to add a second Lead In measure. How do I change that setting?

Hi Larry From the Notation window, change the Clef Split point as shown in first image below, might be the answer you need. You might also need to change the track type to Bass (3)
To change display notation of notes into triplets, change the beats to 3 for the notation display, see further images below that explain one way to achieve this (the note timings need to be relevant for the program to interpret as triplets too) Hope this helps.

A couple of other random thoughts that may also help:
In the Melody or Soloist menus, you can select to drop the pitch by an octave. If that results in the notes looking Ok but sounding too low, you can go into Preferences, Channels and alter the octave setting. Bass is normally -1, or sounding one octave lower than written.
Also:
I often have difficulty entering notes by the mouse into the area between treble and bass clefs. What I do is enter a note in the correct timing position but somewhere on the treble clef, then left-click and hold to drag that note down to the correct pitch.

I just set my clef split to C5 and it works like I want it to. I don't understand why the default C4 didn't work, but at least I know how to adjust it now. I will try your triplet suggestion next and hope to learn how to add a second Lead In measure.
I have changed the notation to 3 beats per beat, but how do I get it to notate one triplet over two beats? In a tango the triplets can be drawn out over several beats. I can't get the notation to show the second eighth note as being in between the two beats? Thanks.

Is this what you require? You may need to edit the events in the Notation > Event List Editor to get values that will cause your triplet to display correctly. Make sure to set the beat resolution to 3 as shown previously.

I have tried a different method of notation to keep things as simple as possible. It seems to work, even though the notes are not writing as triplets, during playback they sound correct. Now, if I could only figure out how to paste/insert my screen capture in to this reply like you did, I could show you what I mean? I have attached a file to show you for now. Thanks for your guidance.
