This is just a piece I worked on to understand diminished and augmented chords. It is very simple and rather relaxing. The drums are Addictive Drums 2. The Real Tracks are Bass, Electric Guitar and 2 acoustic guitars. The melody is a combination of 4 GPO4 instruments using ARIA engine. The instruments are F horn, Cello, English Horn and Alto Flute.

I hope you enjoy it.

You're right. Very relaxing, and very pleasant!! Interesting how the orchestral pieces fused into a really nice tone. Enjoyed the listen! Take care. Greg

Rich,

I did enjoy your piece. A terrific flow to it.

I did, however, wonder as I was listening if there might have been a RealDrum alternative to the Addictive Drums that you used. One of the jazz kits? Just a thought...

Nice composition.

Great work Rich, the intro reminded me of some early America's tunes. Then the style changed into that more relaxing format. Certainly some discordant selection of chords and inversions.

Thanks for the comments. It was an exercise in what I could do in Band In a Box and also how to work with diminished and augmented chords.

I used Addictive drums only to see if I could do it. I also combined 4 orchestral instruments to get an unusual blend and see if it would work. The whole piece was a bit of an experiment.

The intro was a BiaB generated intro and I probably should have altered the chords to fit the rest of the piece, but I thought it made for a good start (as it was) given that the acoustic guitars started unaccompanied.

Hi Rich,

a real nice composition. Very interesting chords.
The mix of orchestral instruments sounds good.
I would have wished a little variety in the build.
Enjoyable listen.

+1, My thoughts exactly. I enjoyed the listen and each instrument was clearly heard in the mix. I hope you show up again with some more compositions. Tom
