To B The King My meek, little tribute to the late, great BB King, who passed away recently.
This is just a few rounds of blues solos over rather basic blues chords, there isn't even a proper melody. I threw in bits of relative minor parts for some variation. though, and there are some good riffs in there, for the fans of the genre to study (none of which are mine, I might add, it's all BBox) - Enjoy!

Eddie,

You're on a roll!

This was a good listen. Every time I hear something that is entirely BIAB, I sit back, smile and say "Thanks Peter Gannon and team for inventing such an amazing program."

It's like when I watch a huge jet aeroplane floating across the sky, it never ceases to amaze me that so many tons of people, metal and cargo can seem to defy gravity. Even though I fully understand the physics behind it all, it's still magic to me. BIAB gives me exactly the same feeling. It never ceases to astound me that all I have to do is to enter a chord progression and click on a button and then BIAB creates an entire instrumental performance with some of the world's top musicians! Such a great program.

Eddie, I really enjoyed your musical invention. Thanks for posting it.

All the best,
Noel

P.S. Looks like you don't have to worry about being a one hit wonder now smile

Amazing sound and very authentic sounding to me as well. I would think BB would appreciate your work. A fitting tribute.

You're just too kind, thank you! blush

As for being "on a roll" (three different types of entries in one day)...well, there was nothing good on telly & I was bored grin

Ok, I thought this entire paragraph was so brilliant I just had to make a new post for a reply.

First of, I absolutely loved that whole analogy! I had never thought of it that way, but it completely resonates with my views about this tool.
But did you know, according to my fav TV show "Qi" (a quiz show about obscure trivia facts), then in fact "no one quite understands just how an aeroplane stays in the air." (a direct quote from the show.)! confused
So when you say that you 'fully' understand the physics - you deserve a Nobel prize! laugh

P.S. It still looks like people rather misunderstood when I said "second song" and "one-hit-wonder"; it was the second song I ever made (way back in the 80's, to be precise) - of many since! And with that 2nd song, my 'blockage' period was broken and I have in fact made well over 2-3 album's worth since, not counting work done for others smile

Nice tune Eddie, very well done. I would like to know what RT's you used, specially the solo guitar.

It's the _Monday.sty and its namesake guitar soloist in the first part. I'm sorry to say I no longer have the .mgu for references so I can't tell you precisely which of Brent's guitars I picked for the round that comes after the sax, only that it was a "Bluesy" version of one of his.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
