OP ZeroZero Expert Joined: Jul 2007 Posts: 1,801 Bynar	I don't expect a fix, but: WIn7 I keep a few song shortcuts on my desktop. You would think that If I click on one then BIAB will load the song. It doesn't. It loads your previously loaded song (I have selected this as default in prefs). Biab should open up the song manually clicked. The only way is through the file menu Z Win 11 64, Asus Rog Strix z390 mobo, 64 gig RAM, 8700k

Change the option in your settings for program boot up. BIAB 2025 Win Audiophile. Software: Studio One 7 Pro, Swam horns, Acoustica-7, Notion 6, Song Master Pro, Win 11 Home. Hardware: Intel i9, 32 Gb; Roland Integra-7, Presonus 192 & Faderport 8, Royer 121, Adam Sub8 & Neumann 120 monitors.

AudioTrack Veteran Joined: Jun 2012 Posts: 20,278 Melbourne, Australia	Hi ZZ I immediately tried what you mentioned and couldn't repeat it exactly, but I did get an unusual response I created shortcuts on the desktop to 2 songs A) .MGU B) .SGU If I double click on the song with the MGU extension, it launches BiaB and loads the song OK I shut BiaB down If I double click on the song with the SGU extension, it launches BiaB and doesn't load any song (just blank), but the previous used style is loaded Shutdown BiaB, double-click on the song with the MGU extension and BiaB launches and the song is loaded OK So .SGU do not work (launch BiaB only) but .MGU do work (launch Biab and load song) I tried with several different song files of both types. Always the same. Anyone else? I then double click on the song with the SGU extension, it launches BiaB and loads the song OK So everything works "fine" with BIAB, same as always. BIAB – 2025, Reaper (current), i7-12700F Processor, 32GB DDR4-3200MHz RAM, 1TB WD Black NVMe SSD, 2TB WDC Blue SSD, 1TB WD Blue, 2 TB SK NVMe, 6 TB External, Motu Audio Express 6x6

I changed the options to as per below, and my exact same situation remained (MGU launches BiaB with song, SGU launches BiaB but no song). Every time BiaB could be closed successfully (sorry about that Jazzmandan...) There is always a work around. 3) Working in BIAB is all about workflow. Whatever it takes to get it done. That is just how it is. I don't think anything is a show stopper but there are many things that could be greatly improved IMHO. YMMV Doc-take it easy John this is just a sharp scalpel. It will not cut deep so don't worry.
