Neither. There's only one kind of repeat.

Wrong on both counts.

1. The form markers enclose a part that is to be repeated. That is a repeat.

2. 1st/2nd endings etc. are navigation instructions, not repeats. You can have DS al coda without a repeat. Repeat means repeat.
