https://soundcloud.com/user-108834131/come-the-autumn-time There is so much beauty one sees where couples have survived the trials and tribulations of life, getting even closer to each other in the twilight years. But inevitably one must go before the other and much has been written even in poetry about that void that appears so hard to fill. I have witnessed that, and so I wrote this song, it’s sad yes, but also a joy, to reflect as I said, the ‘beauty and respect that a long loving relationship can bring. Style Arpok44 Orchestral Piano arpeggios 4/4 in A major at 69 Bps I first threw a whole lot of RTs at it but then thought no, I wanted the man’s thoughts and memories to be close and personal, not over embellished with orchestration so I settled on (891 Piano Acoustic solo acc) and 364 Guitar Finger picking there was a wonderful Midi within the style called Instrument 50 Slow strings, loved it kept it Paddy G

There is beauty in the sadness of this haunting song.
I think you were right in keeping to a simple arrangement - the melody is elegant and your vocal strong.
I liked the deep note you chose to end with.

Superb song Paddy and very clever lyrics that fit the rhythm. I like the changes of key and the progression. The music supports the words in the right way.
A good listen and as other comments say, sad yet uplifting.

I'm not in the habit of commenting on a song twice (I commented on it once before).
But listening to this song once again I was struck even more by the very beauty of it.
It is so heartfelt and has such a beautiful singing melody that is very rare here on the forum. The kind of song you can truly get lost in.
