In relation to a comment I made recently in another thread about Supertracks and transferring them to Reaper, Wyndham asked...
Are you editing the supertrack or a generated midi file that has a supertrack in it? If it is just the supertrack, how do you open the supertrack in Reaper?
I hope Wyndham doesn't mind but I've posted my reply here because it might be that one or two others would also like to know about this. I suspect the information is easier to find in this forum rather than mid-thread elsewhere.

I create a MIDI file from the generated Supertrack. This file contains all the information used by the original track's creator. Once in Reaper, I then add a soft synth. In Reaper, I can also modify any aspect of the midi control events if I wish. (Such modifications are also possible in BIAB and Realband but I prefer to work in Reaper out of habit more than anything.)
1. TRANSFERRING A SUPERTRACK FROM BIABThere are a few ways to do this. The below two are probably the easiest. (See the top image at the end of this post.)
(a) Drag the track to the midi quadrant of the Dropbox.
(b) Resize both Reaper and BIAB so they are beside one another on the screen. Drag the track from BIAB across to Reaper.
2. TRANSFERRING A SUPERTRACK FROM REALBANDBecause I work in Realband immediately prior to Reaper, I usually save the track from there. (See the bottom image below.)
(a) Left-click on the track.
(b) CTRL+A to select the entire track.
(c) Select "Edit | Track | Save track to file" and then select "MID" as the file type.
