Kind of a generic name, isn't it?
Tracktion to me is a pretty cool name for a DAW (I have it; unfortunately don't really use it, but at the $60 price point, it's nice to have different tools in the box).

I also have it but just can not get my head around the screen...... Also, you can grab Version 5 for free from their site.

I've used Tracktion since early 2000's as my DAW primarily because of its single screen modeless design. It looks like they are beginning to wander away from that with this switch to Waveform. I'm guessing they are doing the name change because Tracktion as a brand just has never caught on n and most people expecting to behave like other DAWs are usually disappointed.

I also saw that they're doing the "faux" Biab thing like other DAW's are doing. They've added popular chord progressions and instrument licks that go with those progressions.
