Hi comments and suggestions welcome. This is one of those songs that writes itself, hence for the most part I just let it be. It feels right and hey it's nice not to agonise over every word for a change.

[Link no longer valid]

RealTracks in style: ~684:Bass, Electric, PopHalfNotesSync Ev 120
RealTracks in style: ~686:Organ, B3, Background Pop Ev 120
RealTracks in song: ~363:Pedal Steel, Background Ev 085

Mixed using Logic Pro X. Drums, acoustic guitars, electric guitar and vocals added.

Shifting Sands
I like to sit outside and wonder
I like to howl up at the moon
I’d like another month of Sundays
I like it when you play my tunes

Oh how the wind blows hard and reckless
Oh how the sun wears down the land
Oh how we find ourselves tomorrow
Oh how we walk on shifting sands

You say you like the smell of leather
You say you like the mountains here
I hope we always stay together
Through heat and drought and rain and tears

(Chorus)

People like to sit around and talk talk talk
People like to try and understand
People try to keep it all together
Oh how we walk on shifting sands

(Rpt chorus)

Matcham,
Nice laid back tune - rolls along well with a pretty tune.
Nice complimentary guitar.

I enjoyed listening to this, nice groove!
Nice work on the guitar parts you added, sounds great. What did you use to generate the drum track?

Thanks guys. Dave I tend to alternate between BIAB drums realtracks and Drums on Demand for drums, depending on the song. DOD for this one.

Nice and mellow with a great sentiment. And well performed, arranged and mixed.

In other words, it's the total package!

Nice,

J&B

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
