I have created a rock(-like?) music this time, which is a kind of unusual thing for me. Some background follows.

Recently, I viewed the concert of X JAPAN held at the Wembley Arena in London on Mar. 4th this year on TV. For those who are not familiar with the group, it is one of the most popular rock bands in Japan. The name of its leader is Yoshiki who is a drummer, pianist and composer. He has the classical background as well and performed the classical concert at the Carnegie Hall in New York successfully on Jan. 12th and 13th this year. (He composed a piano concert and performed it for the celebration in honor of the 10th anniversary of Japanese Emperor Akihito's enthronement in 1999. I am very interested to know why and how he was chosen for this very honorable role though there are many composers in the classical music field in Japan.) Anyhow, the Wembley concert was really great and I was completely brought under the spell of their performance. Before that, I know them but am not a fan. Now, I am an enthusiastic fan of the band.

This made me create the rock music this time. I know this work is not comparable with theirs at all, but it is of my style and I like it. I hope you also like it.

HiroshiK,

A very enjoyable melody. It was an interesting contrast between the introduction and the body of the song.

Great instrumental nevertheless.

Hi Hiroshi,

Loved this! The classical piano beginning was great and the pop-rock sounds thereafter were a pleasure to our ears. I am not familiar with X Japan but will go to YouTube and try to find them. Thank you for a wonderful listen.

Just went to YouTube and listened to their song "Endless Rain" Great song and what a voice the lead singer has. And what a pretty song! Thanks for telling us about the group.

Hi Alan & Di,

Thank you very much for your kind comment. I am happy you like my new song.

I am also glad you had interest in X JAPAN and their music. Yes, "Endless Rain" is great. I would like to recommend another song to you, "La Venus", which is rather new and very beautiful.

X JAPAN - La Venus (Acoustic Version) (Audio)

X Japan - La venus - live in UK - London, SSE Wembley, 04.03.2017
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eCl2j4UQ9b4

As you can see in the second video, the song starts with Yoshiki's piano solo, which is an introductory part of the song. When it is finished, he moves to the drum and the main part starts.

I was impressed by this style and tried to reproduce it in my new song.

Thank you again,

Hiroshi

Scott,

Thank you for your comment. The changes in the song or progression of the song was the key part for me into which I put most of my effort. I am glad you like it.

Hiroshi,

I simply started your track playing and then sat back and listened. What I heard was music that had a very pleasant sound and was very easy to listen to. I enjoyed it.

Noel,

Thank you for your comment. Your message pleased me a lot because one of the most important goals for me in song composition and production is to create the songs that one can enjoy. This is especially true because the songs I create are instrumental without vocal except a few.
