OP Jon Thomas Apprentice Joined: Dec 2015 Posts: 225	Hi all this is my submission for the contest. It's called THE MUSIC OF LIFE I think it should be in the "Country" category. I used the following style: _HARPING.STY. Harp and Fingerstyle Boom Chick RD: TrainBeatBrushes: a: Brushes, Kickb: BusyBrushes, Kick :Shannon Forrest RT2421: Bass, Acoustic, RockabillySlapBoomChicka Ev16 100 , Dave Roe RT2708: Autoharp, Rhythm OldTime Ev16 110 , Quinn Bachand RT2517: Guitar, Acoustic, Fingerpicking BoomChickHighJoe Ev16 110 (Simple) , Joe Robinson RT2518: Guitar, Acoustic, Fingerpicking BoomChickJoe Ev16 110 (Simple) , Joe Robinson I also added: Fiddle, Soloist Bluegrass Ev 130 #596 Accordion, Rhythm TexMexCountry Ev 120 #1292 I also added my own ukulele / banjolele, mandolin, and a little touch of acoustic guitar. And vocals of course. It's a song about the beauty of nature, expressed in my own words. The mix is not 100% where I want it, but it's reasonably close. Hope you like it :-) Any feedback or critique is always very welcome. Here's the lyrics: THE MUSIC OF LIFE Life is on its way now and every living being has its place now and I feel like I found my own space now and everything's ok I'm living for today now I don't need to wait or care about tomorrow I don't have to look for someone else to follow cause I don't have any chains And I know, the orchestra is playing I know, the symphony is changing It's the sound of the trees, it's the sound of the clouds It's the sound of the breeze, and it's spreading around it's the music of life, evolving through the years It's a beautiful choir, and it brings me to tears I'm riding like a free man I don't need to come up with some sort of "B" plan I don't have to lock myself inside a tin can and everything's ok And I know, the orchestra is playing I know, the symphony is always changing It's the sound of the sky, it's the sound of the sea It's the sound of the tide, and the sound makes me breathe it's the music of earth, evolving through the years and for what it's worth, it still brings me to tears And I know, the orchestra is playing I know, the symphony is always changing It's the sound of the trees, it's the sound of the clouds It's the sound of the breeze, and it's spreading around It's the sound of the sky, it's the sound of the sea It's the sound of the tide, and the sound makes me breathe it's the music of life evolving through the years It's a beautiful choir and it brings me to tears it still brings me to tears Last edited by Jon Thomas; 07/27/17 06:35 AM.

In every music direction that I turned, I was met by quality; the words, the music, your singing are all outstanding, and your production sparkles brilliantly. And when I receive comments like yours, well ... I can't deny that they make me happy! Also, I'm not an english mother tongue, so I'm glad that my accent is not so noticeable to ruin the song (I hope) ... thanks again
