David, This is an excellent write.... really excellent. The melody is so strong and it has that all-important feel of familiarity that makes it sit so very comfortably on the ears. This is such a hard thing to accomplish and here you are making it seem so, so easy. The lyrics in your first verse blew me away. You set the scene incredibly well and brought it to life vividly. The below lyrics grabbed my attention and pulled me into the song. I was hooked after that! Sometimes in life

It’s just a test that we go through Then, when the chorus came along, the meaning of everything you'd sung so far glistened with crystal clarity. Outstanding. What a tune! I'm getting a Tom Petty vibe here, which is always a good thing in my books. It's perfectly catchy, and I found it to sound really sincere and heartfelt. There's some really, really nice lyrics in this too. By the way - the mixing job on this is on point too! Fantastic job here David, thanks for sharing

Hi David,
Simply stunning! As Noel said. So powerful yet so seemingly effortless. The melody makes you think it's something like we had heard before - but really we hadn't. That, my good friend, takes an uncanny talent. it had to first be conceived and then facilitated with equal precision.
Simply wonderful David. Spiritual without ever going there directly. This song should go all the way to the top of hill. I am impressed beyond my ability to further define. And Di and I completely agree with the message.
I was going to tell you all the various things you did in the creation and delivery of this marvelous song. But as i thought what to say, it came to me that I'd already said everything was really important. I'll simply say everything about this sings inception and conception equals the magic of the final product. Di and i are blown away. We both tip our hat to youy.

This is just outstanding! This is my favorite of yours. So well written. The message is so true, and awesome. Your vocals are perfect for this song. Has that Dylan/Tom Petty feel, with a heart-piercing delivery of the truth. All on top of a simple, fitting arrangement.
Did I mention, I like this one?

I think this is a song that all of us can relate to at some point in our lives. It's such a profound song. Your vocals are perfect for this type of song, I think. It suits the kind of raw emotions just lurking under the surface. Well done, and another great song!

Excellent song - lyrically & musically excellent.
The vocal has a mannered/shouty early Dylan delivery which makes sense but seemed a little aggressive.
