It was taken from the bible in Acts Chapter 2. https://www.soundclick.com/artist/default.cfm?bandID=639245 They Were Praisin It was on the day of Pentecost, they were all in one accord, they were gathered in the upper room, as commanded by the Lord. Suddenly there came a sound from heaven as a might rushing wind, it filled all the house, that they were sitting in. The holy ghost filled all of them, they began to speak in tongues, the spirit gave them utterance, they were speaking everyone. Chorus: They were praisin, they were shoutin, they knew that something had happened that they could not explain, all they knew was it felt so fine, not a one complained, they were praisin, they were praisin.. 9 There were others there from other places, and they looked so amazed, they heard the word in their own language, giving God all the praise. They thought that they were full of wine, and that this wasn’t so, but Peter said, just wait a minute, it was prophecied by Joel. Repent and be baptized, in Jesus holy name, then you will receive the holy ghost, you’ll never be the same. Although you did squeeze some lyrics a bit to make them fit.
