Written this past week, this piece is a melancholy look back at things we may have forgotten in the past year. Inspired after I read of all the people who have died this past year. This was created in BiaB and then mixed down in BandLab. I play the trumpet, the "bone" solo in the middle is a real trak trombone in BiaB. https://soundcloud.com/user3562166/things-forgotten

Nice track - we don't get many trumpeter solos posted here.  Now I need to find my trumpet and start practicing again...

Ok, I decided to add a second trumpet and a trombone line to the piece. This is the revised version now with me playing all the brass lines and BiaB playing the rhythm backup. https://soundcloud.com/user3562166/things-forgotten

I love this trumpet tone and you have a really nice lyrical approach to shaping your melodies. I found this a very worthwhile listen.

I've re-done the mix (hit the link in first message. I've taken some ideas from one of the posters who made some nice suggestions.
The drum has been changed. The excessive guitar punches have been removed and the harmony parts (2nd trumpet and bone) have been limited.

It's an improvement! You might want to trim the count-in at the beginning and the 45 seconds at the end.

The 1st 45 seconds leaves a huge gap on the left which is address after that in some parts but not in a balanced way.
The trombone was nice but I think I'd rather have heard your trumpet.
The melody is good and suits the trumpet really well.

Ok, sorry about that last mix. I have removed the last 45 seconds of silence and the beat track entrance. If you click on the first link, you should get the clean version.
I'm not sure what you mean rayc about the left channel gap? I here plenty on both channels on my system. I will give it another listen to see if I can hear what you hear.
