Hi everybody,

it’s quite a strange feeling to post a song / video these days that bears no relation to the terrible time that we are going through.

But it deals with anothert cause I’ve had for quite some time, even though I communicate it in a humorous way, and when I started to work on it Corona was still lightyears away.

Well, this is my first video in 2020, so it's high time to finally come up with a new flick.

I think we don’t have to discuss the fact that sexual harassment is disgusting and inexcusable. But there is one group of guys, more or less around my age (which means 'old farts') who obviously don’t realize that hitting on young, worse still very young women is not only yukky: They also make ridiculous fools of themselves.

Here’s my song about them:

VIDEO (on YouTube)

AUDIO (on SoundCloud)

Just in case: My old buddy and former band colleague Peter Suessmuth, who plays the sugar daddy so convincingly and hilariously in the vid,is a most nice, decent and lovable guy in real life - special thanks to him for his tremendous (no, sorry, can’t bear that word any more...) marvellous performance.

Since Maha is and has been very badly off these weeks and months, mixing and mastering this song (and I think she again did a very good job) was already finished by the end of last year. I do hope from the bottom of my heart that she soon will be well again and thus able to work on some other songs I’ve already written and also will be able to appear in our next videos.

Thanks for taking the time to watch and listen and all the best to all of you and yours - stay in and stay well.

Stefan

PS: Thanks to Hans (birchwood) who commented an earlier version of the video like this: 'Needs more rats.' - Hans, here you are !

Musical data:

GUITAR 1 - RT 499 Rytthm StoneZ Flash 1 Ev
GUITAR 2 - RT 505 Rhythm StoneZ Flash 2 EV
GUITAR 3 - RT 406 Strumming Ev 136

Vocals and solo guitar: me

Maha used RealBand as DAW, PGMusic plug-ins (dynamics, reverb), EazyQ Parametric EQ and mastered the song with Ozone 8.

Stefan & Maha (and crew)...

Y'all have outdone yourselves on this! For sure.

Everything about this is "your best" (I think).

The song is quite clever.

The tracks are really well done. Nice solos! The vocals are super.
The mix is SUPERB. Nothing out-of-place. Smooth as silk.

You've done a bunch of good videos, but this one really raises the bar. SO many nice touches. Even the credits are enjoyable to watch. It is obvious that a LOT of work goes in to these. Excellent.

Y'all stay safe. Hope that Maha gets feeling great soon...

Really well done as usual, Stefan! Your videos are always a joy to watch.

I'm with floyd on this, also really enjoyed the end credits.

Very nice guitar work, very tasteful, great note choices.

A tip of the hat to Maha for the fine job she did on the mix, and hope she will get well soon.

All the best to the both of you.

Ha There you are, Stefan!

Missed you lately on 'the other channels'.
And I'm very happy you succeeded in getting this project done and posted it on this forum.
I know what hard times you and Maha went through, but lets not discuss that here.
Lets talk about your song and movie. This is much more than just a video (!).

So , the song is... well it is a bit boring, but what you did with the amount of rats and their actions in the film was more than I could have dreamed of. And even a cat was brought in. Terrific!!!

But seriously, Stefan; the song is very well made and produced! I had listened to some previous versions, but now the sound of it is really GREAT! I was/am amazed what the both of you have accomplished since then.
But that are all the compliments I can give you, otherwise you need an achor to keep you on the ground (in spite of your belly...).
I will finish my contribute about your song by saying you can be very proud of yourself and Maha too of course! Consider this mission as being accomplished.

Greetings to Maha,

Hans

Seems to me that this sort of silliness is exactly appropriate for times like this.

As floyd jane said - enjoyable, even through the credits. smile

Another fun outing. Song, band, and sound are "up there". Love the hard ending before the end credits. That's the way those things usually end up. The video was big fun. That section with the multiple "yous" was inspired. I had a great time with this. Thanks.

I watched the vid 1st - all good fun and really well done.
Now I'm listening and the song comes into it's own because I'm not looking and searching as it goes.
Your guitar work is ACE. I'm impressed.
You've gathered a fabulous ensemble to act and match the ensemble that plays.
No nits, no picking but THANKS for the excellent entertainment.

Cheers

Stefan, Ms. Maha, 'Soul Sister' Erndwein, Mr. Suessmuth et al...

Folks, you're one-of-a-kind laugh. Like, nobody does it better, get it???

Irresistible subject matter, ingenious lyrics, fantastically creative video editing and production, more humor than you can laugh at in one viewing...man, you folks are just the best roadshow that ever traveled the User's Forum circuit smile.

Ms. Erndwein, your brief appearance and powerhouse vocal riffing was a high, high, HIGH-light of the video. Watch out, now, you're gonna blow-out that microphone singing like that laugh !!! Mr. Suessmuth, you lookin' sharp as the proverbial tack up there in those 'Sugar Daddy' lights smile.

Stefan, to watch you work over the strings on that 'lectric gee-tar of yours is a 'sight to behold'. Hardly anything in the world is more fascinating (to me, at least) than to watch a damn good instrumentalist show-off what he/she's got. Truly, you got mo' soul than you can control, partner!!!

Ms. Maha, from the bottom of my heart, I hope and wish and pray that you will soon be relieved -- completely and forever -- of whatever is messing around with your well-being. Clearly, you are the Sun that your husband orbits around, so let's keep that planetary alignment going long and strong smile.

Most sincerely & truly,

LOREN

Oh boy, Floyd, that is really a heckuva comment - thanks an awful lot for those very uplifting words.

Maha was especially delighted (which did her really well) to read that you thought the mix was good.

We all hope that we will be able to at least touch the bar with our future productions ;-))

All the best, stay healthy,

Stefan

Hi Hans,

thanks for your very long and funny comment on the song and the video (you know that writing and readng have become dificult, so forgive me, if I keep my reply short).

I was really delighted to read (and hear on the phone) that you enjoyed everything - most of all, of course, now that there were all the rats you had demanded...

Niet vergeten: Met je kont lekker thuis blijven, hoor!
