Elliott,
A warm, uplifting song on a subject I understand .Well sung and arranged. The sax at the end was a nice choice; it shifts the mood towards happy!
For my taste the finger picking acoustic guitar, though well panned, was a little far forward in the mix distracting at times from your vocals.

What a wonderful subject creatively cast in such a sweet song. Loved it, Elliott. The video really brings out the sentiment.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Nice song and well sung. Loved how the instruments gradually came in, helped sustain my interest. Excellent work!

There's something happening to the vocals - best shown at around 0.46 to 0.52 where the 1st syllable of words when you're giving emphasis - it's aggressive/loud almost distorted - it may well be the reverb/delay or some other treatment causing it. Perhaps adjusting the compressor on the vocals to clamp down quickly and not allows the transients through will deal with it.

Cheers

I did enjoy the song...I just finished a song about trees, and I am an old man, so it fit me well.

The instruments did build up nicely in the beginning. But I lost interest somewhere after the middle. I went back and played it again from the middle, and I can't say completely what it was. But I had two thoughts. Since there aren't any lyrics written down, I may have missed something but it seems like the main message of the song is already delivered by about mid-way. Also, the arrangement stared getting a little think with instruments. Don't get me wrong, I am a jazz fan and I love the sound of the saxophone. But I felt it didn't fit here, and it seemed like the vocals receded to the background around the point the saxophone came in. At about 2:19, with fiddle playing nicely in my right ear, it seemed like the vocals were completely blended with all the other music.

Please take anything useful here and feel free to discard all else!

An excellent sentiment delivered with a fine vocal and arrangement.

We like it...a lot and the video well augmented the audio.

The sax seemed tailor made.

Well done!

Elliot

A good enjoyable number, with a very nice vocal. The sax was a nice touch (as was the piano which is not listed).

Well done.

Peter
