justanoldmuso, Sure I could disable all the bootup checks (malware, spyware, virus, disk integrity, backup sync, Etc) but I prefer to wait so those tasks are only done on boot or when I start them manually, and not when am working. Once it starts, all my timings you mention are similar to yours. Certainly I can work with a zillion tracks on reaper and Realband. Thanks for the tips.
