OP Charles A. Monteiro Apprentice Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 291 New York City	hi, I noticed upon loading the jazsalsa style the use of "red" notation for chord entry. See here: http://screencast.com/t/MDgyYjE0ZTM what this apparently does is it allows one to specify the parts one should get playback for i.e. Em7.d means play the drums in the selected style and Em7.bd means to play bass and drums in selected style and of course the bass reflects the chord in question. All is cool. but then when I try it for my tune in the same style I don't get the same results namely if i specify Am7.d , I get the both a root bass note playing the style's bass rhythmic pattern as well as the percussion. I'm apparently supposed to only get the percussion. When I subsequently use Am7.bd I get a 1 5 bass pattern i.e. the full blown pattern as well as the percussion See here: http://screencast.com/t/ZDU3ZDVkMDU So what am I missing? thanks in advance Charles A. jford Veteran Joined: Dec 2000 Posts: 12,584 Pensacola, Florida	Not sure what's happening; this has always worked for me. Did you hit play, or replay. Play regenerates the arrangement. Do you have any RealTracks in the song? If so, make sure you have all the updates for shots and holds. How about just saving the file and reloading it - just a thought, in case something was cached. Otherwise, I would do the "return to factory settings" dance and try again. I use rests, shots, and holds all the time, with "excepted" instruments and have never had a problem, so I do know that it works (at least for me).
