July 20, 2020 - Dragging Band-in-a-Box® Tracks Into Cakewalk
If you receive the message "Selected files are not compatible with this operation" when you try to drag tracks into Cakewalk using the VST DAW Plugin for Band-in-a-Box®, it's likely because on of the tracks is a MIDI file. Cakewalk does not accept multiple files simultaneously if one of the files is a MIDI file.
The solution is to drag each track individually, rather than dragging all tracks using the blue [ALL] button in the Style Mix track. This applies if your song has one or more MIDI tracks.
