As I was going through everything I kept noticing "new" RealTracks that I already had from 2015! But I think I have this figured out now. If you go to this page, http://www.pgmusic.com/realtracks.all.php?os=win and then look at the 2016 sets you will find some that show they were included in 2015 bonus packs! So, those of us who bought all RealTracks in 2015 including the bonus tracks are not actually getting 201 new RealTracks, right? If that is correct that would be something nice to note in the sales materials! I am still happy with the new RealTracks but was hoping for more of my favorites like Baritone Guitar and when I saw them I got excited until realized I already had some of them. ------------------ RealTracks Set 250 : Rockabilly Swing was included in 2015 20-PAK and 2015 49-PAK 3 tracks RealTracks Set 245 : Brent Mason - Country Blues Rock and More was included in 2015 20-PAK and 2015 49-PAK 4 tracks RealTracks Set 242 : Praise Break! was included in 2015 49-PAK 7 tracks RealTracks Set 240 : Straight Ahead Funk! was included in 2015 20-PAK and 2015 49-PAK 11 tracks RealTracks Set 233 : New Age Piano and More was included in 2015 49-PAK 12 tracks RealTracks Set 232 : Pop String Quartets was included in 2015 49-PAK 12 tracks

Wow, is really misleading is what PG Music says on their website. http://www.pgmusic.com/realtracks.all.php?os=winGo look at RealTracks Set 250 : Rockabilly Swing (and sets 232, 233, 240 242, 245 also) In RED is says: Note: This RealTracks Set requires Band-in-a-Box® 2016 for Windows or higher. And right below that it says: This RealTrack Set is bundled with the following packages: UltraPlusPAK EverythingPAK Band-in-a-Box Audiophile Edition 2015 20-PAK 2015 49-PAK 2016 PlusPAK RealPAK Country: 12 All the other new 2016 RT's do not show that they are offered in any 2015 RT package. Now how can they say that this RealTrack set requires BIAB 2016 for Windows or higher but it is also included in the 2015 20-PAK and the 2015 49-PAK. What???? Now I have everything that PG Music offers in my 2015 install and my RealTracks only go up to RT227 Baritone Guitar, which is correct. That is all they offered last year. Even the April 2015 RealTracks patch only works up to RealTracks set 227. I am not understanding how you wound up with RealTracks set 232 to 250 when it was not even offered in the 2015 package. This is obviously a web page error that needs to be corrected.

I wish someone from PG would clarify this!

I suppose PG could make the point that its 201 new realtracks for those who only buy the basic program and not bought previous bonus paks.
Actually I would be glad to see the unreleased realtracks in the current years bonus paks included in the next years new realtracks releases, seems a waste not to.
And PG would probably make the point that users who bought the bonus paks had a whole years use of them before the core basic paks users.
On the other hand would it affect people deciding to buy bonus paks in the current year?
Might well do, I don't know.

Musiclover A very basic issue is in claiming something is new when it is not! Beyond that, I agree it would be a good idea to make former bonus-pack-only RTs available in some way (and I always assumed they would do this!) It also brings up another issue that, if 2016's bonus RTs will be included as part of 2017's "new" RTs, some folks might not buy the bonus packs!

This is food for thought. I'm fairly new to BIAB, being that my first version was the 2015 UltraPlus PAK. I just purchased the PlusPak upgrade along with the 49 bonus Pak. I was wasn't going to get the bonus pack, but the cello and dobro parts might come in handy for new projects I'm going to be working on.
In the future, it would be good to know if PG Music will make it regular practice to include the bonus tracks the following year. It happens that this year, they were sounds that I will use right away, but that might not be the case in future.
The way that I look at it is PG Music is an a small company that does an incredible job at what they do. They listen to their user base, and are doing something that no one else in the industry is. I support "the underdog" whenever I can. If they throw us a bone with some previous bonus tracks, great! If enough users complain, it would be easy enough for them not to do that in the future.

I would like PGMusic to drop the bonus disc completely and have that content included some of the packages. They could increase the price accordingly.
When a package says it includes all of the styles, RTs and RDs I think that it should include all, including those in the bonus disc(s). In a way it is false advertising IMHO.
Life is short so make sure you spend as much time as possible on the Internet arguing with strangers.

If they throw us a bone with some previous bonus tracks, great! If enough users complain, it would be easy enough for them not to do that in the future. But they didn't "throw us a bone"! Had they given us 201 new RealTracks and then thrown in the additional 49 RTs from previous bonus paks that would be throwing us a bone! Instead they are advertising 201 NEW RealTracks and then delivering 152 (for those of us who supported them by buying the bonus pals in the past!) Wouldn't it be better to not call RTs "new" if they sold them previously and many of us already own them? I'm not complaining...just asking for clarity so I know what I am buying! I would have still purchased the upgrade if they had said 152 new RealTracks + 49 from previously sold paks.

Here here, its corporate BS smoke and mirrors to fool the customer and steal money 'legally'.PG is no different to any other company, the practice is widespread, but that does not make it right. Wille Myette is up to similar stunts. He looks a reasonable guy, but his prices jump around like jumping beans. His latest offer is '40% off' for a course that has never been on sale before. George Orwell called it Newspeak.

No excuses to anything, but I did look at RealTracks and marketing gibberish.
Marketing promises 201 new RealTracks. They start from RealTrack Set 228. If you count the tracks from 228 to 253 you will find that they are not really off. if you count them in the RealTracks Picker the number is without the new RealDrums -- these you will find in the RealDrums Picker. What marketing does not say is:
RealTracks Set 250 : Rockabilly Swing is also part of 2015 20-PAK and 2015 49-PAK RealTracks Set 245 : Brent Mason - Country Blues Rock and More is also part of 2015 20-PAK and 2015 49-PAK RealTracks Set 242 : Praise Break! is also part of 2015 49-PAK RealTracks Set 240 : Straight Ahead Funk! is also part of 2015 20-PAK and 2015 49-PAK RealTracks Set 233 : New Age Piano and More is also part of 2015 49-PAK RealTracks Set 232 : Pop String Quartets is also part of 2015 49-PAK
So if you, as I did, bought the 2015 49-PAK you do have these already. I'm not sure whether there are tracks in this PAK that did not make it to the PlusPAK.
Also, you cannot buy any of the RealTrack from the 2016 49-PAK. These are the RealTracks in your collection if you bought it without a set number. Buying the 49-PAK may give you an early start compared to the users who only buy the upgrade.
There is a lot of marketing talk and it is the truth -- but it is not the complete truth.

There is a lot of marketing talk and it is the truth I disagree! In many places on the website, forums, etc. they say 201 new RealTracks. This is simply not true as 49 of the "new" 201 were sold to us a year ago!

This is simply not true as 49 of the "new" 201 were sold to us a year ago! You should have quoted the caveat "-- but it is not the complete truth" also. I said in my post that some of these have been sold with th 2015 49-PAK. I also said that if you have only bought the 2015 version without any additional PAKs the number is correct. If you quote something make sure that you don't misquote. And make sure you have understood the text that you want to quote. All of it.

Well I still disagree with you that their statement is true! It is not true. And that is different than incomplete or "not the complete truth"!!

To be clear it was never my intent to misrepresent you! My gripe is with those who would advertise 201 and deliver 152!

The marketing text says that there are 201 more RealTracks in the 2016 EverythingPAK and the 2016 UltraPlusPAK and 2016 Audiophile Edition compared to their 2015 counterparts. And that is a true statement.
The not complete truth is the not saying that existing customers of the 2014 editions have been given a head start by lettting them buy something that may be released with a later edition; in this case the 2015 20-PAK and the 2015 49-PAK. The given statement "...We have Bonus PAKs available (but only during the special in December!) with many additional new RealTracks on top of the 201 above,..." could be seen as misleading at best since it refers to the current edition.
That is what I mean by comprehending written text.
Existing customers are not the prime addressees for most web sites. The passerby is the addressee.

When you make a simple statement like "201 NEW RealTracks for Band-in-a-Box 2016" but deliver only 152 new RealTracks that is the problem I am referring to! All of the explaining and apologizing is just fine if that is what you wish to do! But I think maybe tis not I with the problem of comprehending written text!

And regardless of whether or not someone bought these RTs during the 2015 sale they are still not new! Using your logic it would be ok for them to state "More than 2000 NEW RealTracks for Band-in-a-Box 2016" since to a new customer there are indeed over 2000 RTs available and they are all new to them.

Blues lovers will be thrilled—there are more “classic acoustic blues” styles, including guitar (5), bass (4), and drums (10) with blues master Colin Linden, featuring understated and tasty background acoustic soloing, plus brushes drums and acoustic bass. There are also new electric blues RealTracks, including electric blues with PG favorite Johnny Hiland (3) and soulful electric slide guitar from Colin Linden (4). If you love funk & gospel, there are great new options this year, including gospel organ (3) from Charles Treadway, as well as new funk, tango, and rock ’n’ roll drums (3) and bass (1). And for big, bold arrangements, we have uptempo soul horns (4) featuring a three-part hip horn section with options for a full mix or stems of each individual horn — plus an accompanying rhythm section (4) of drums, bass, guitar, and electric piano!
Rock & Pop (Sets 476–482):
Our new rock & pop RealTracks bring a powerful mix of requested favorites, fresh genres, and modern chart-inspired styles! We have more of our popular “Producer Layered Acoustic Guitars (15)” featuring Band-in-a-Box favorite Brent Mason. We’ve continued our much-requested disco styles (10), and added new Celtic guitar (5) with a more basic, accessible approach than our previous Drop-D or DADGAD offerings. There are also highly requested yacht rock styles (17), inspired by the smooth, polished soft-rock sound of the late ’70s and early ’80s — laid-back grooves, silky electric pianos, warm textures, elegant harmonic movement, and pristine production aesthetics. Fans of heavier styles will love our new glam metal (13), capturing the flashy, high-energy sound of ’80s arena-ready guitar rock. We also have a set of rootsy modern-folk rock (18), with a warm, organic sound combining contemporary folk textures and driving acoustic strumming. And we’ve added lots of new modern pop styles (16) — the kinds of sounds you’re hearing on the radio today, featuring exciting new drums, synths, and cutting-edge RealTracks arrangements.
Country, & Americana (Sets 483–488):
Our new country & Americana RealTracks deliver a rich collection of acoustic, electric, and roots-inspired styles! We have new country pop (9) with legendary guitarist Brent Mason. There is also a potpourri (14) of bouzouki, guitars, banjo, and more, perfect for adding texture and character to contemporary acoustic arrangements. We’ve added funky country guitar (5) with PG favorite Brent Mason, along with classic pedal steel styles (5) featuring steel great Doug Jernigan. There are more country songwriter styles (8) that provide intimate, rootsy foundations for storytelling and modern Americana writing. Finally, we have “background soloing” acoustic guitar (12) with Brent Mason — simpler, but still very tasty acoustic lines designed to sit beautifully behind vocals or act as a subtle standalone solo part.
