It's likely you mean RealTracks that you want to get rid of (and you can) but if you really mean "styles" then please clarify. I do understand your need to pare down things on the SSD (I have one too) but another approach is to put only the program on the SSD boot drive and move the RealTracks (and to a lesser extent, the RealDrums) to another drive. That's what I did. BIAB 2024 Win Audiophile. Software: Studio One 6.5 Pro, Swam horns, Acoustica-7, Notion 6; Win 11 Home. Hardware: Intel i9, 32 Gb; Roland Integra-7, Presonus Studio 192, Presonus Faderport 8, Royer 121, Adam Sub8 & Neumann 120 monitors

jford Veteran Joined: Dec 2000 Posts: 12,591 Pensacola, Florida	Style files themselves take up very limited space. They are just instructions to tell BIAB how to create assn arrangement. If you seldom (never say never) use the styles, you might do better to free up some space by removing the associated demo files instead. That way you can still load the style if you need it, you just don't have access to the corresponding demo file to preview it. Of course you can always load the style for your current chord progression and preview it that way. Make sure to keep the demos on your external drive, however, so you don't lose them. Likewise, if you installed RealTracks and RealDrums on your limited size hard drive, consider moving them to a different or external hard drive. Dave Journeyman D Joined: Jul 2000 Posts: 647 Burlington, Ontario, Canada	I would also be a little careful if you decide to delete styles by genre as the genre can be wrong or at best misleading. Better to check by auditioning. Sometimes the descriptions are wrong as well. Several are called ev16, or sw16 when in fact they are ev or sw8. I might have even seen some called waltz when the are 4/4. you can also use jazz (sw 8) for other genres as well. BIAB for Windows Version 2019 (643) Windows 10 (1909)

Guitarhacker Veteran Joined: Apr 2009 Posts: 9,706 Middlesex, NC	If you are that cramped for HD space..... buy a new drive... bigger....and install it. You never said what version of BB/RB you have. If you have it on the HD, simply do the minimal install and leave all the real tracks on the factory HD. I have a smaller C drive with a 1TB storage drive with a 1TB back up and the BB HD....all attached and running. If you have a lappy, simply get a 1TB external USB and load things to it. The magic you are looking for is in the work you are avoiding.
