You're on fire! Superb lyrics, great music, and what a delivery Bravo, Marty. Another one which is right up there, amongst your best. As for Dave Bell ... fabulous, fabulous. He sounds so much like Carlos Santana, it's scary - and that's one of the highest compliments I can give a guitarist

This is a classic Marty song. Clever and a smile. Dave's solo soars into the stratosphere. Wow! Did you get your one phone cal? Thanks, Scott. Yeah, I called mom and dad recused himself. Marty, As always, an interesting story you tell. It seems like you've had quite an interesting life so far I enjoyed listen, you and Dave are always worth taking the time to listen to. The vocals could have a dB or three more, but that's my only nit. Well done! Thanks, Brain. I try to keep the vox out of the way of the good stuff. Howdy Marty.... I dig this one. I like the bluesy arrangement and it kept me engaged. Cool original topic to write about with good lyrics and good vox throughout. (I wrote one with similar subject matter ("It's About Time") and having to face the consequences....my antagonist is still in the pokey ) Hope all is well. Hi, Wayne! Hope ll is well. Most of my songs, this one included, seem to come from playing chords and singing for a melody. Eventually this title surfaced. Wonder what it means about me, huh? Marty,
A Good Write! Nice video. Yummy Bass.
Dave is truly on Fire.
Very much enjoyed the listen....
fj Thanks much, floyd.

You’re a master at telling these little vignettes of life in your songs. We could see them developed into a series of stand alone episodes titled “Marty’s Tales of Life.” 😉
You and Dave are cooking on this with the burners set on high! We could hear your prisoner’s pleas in Dave’s solo, your vocal is strong and your bass is perfecto.
Nice production and, per always, a complementary video ... all of which we enjoyed.
Need bail money?!😊

Marty what did you do? It wasn't in the news...
Marty & Dave, Super up & up progression and excellent groove. Ace performance both vocally and musically. Crisp Dave's guitar adds a whole new level. Really enjoyed this tune. The only thing, I thought drums were a bit quiet. Thank you for sharing, Misha.
P.S. Recently, I picked up an album, a collaboration between Sting & Shaggy., it also had a "trial" tune. Actually I like yours better.

Very creative lyric Marty. Super vocal. Dave's guitar had a very cool bite to it. Loved the groove of your basslines. Awesome tune... Thanks, Scott. Wonderful comment. Very encouraging. I hope your dad lied for you, Marty. Very enjoyable and I loved Dave's wailing.
Vic Ha, thanks, Vic. My dad seemed to let me to come up with my own lies. He encouraged creativity. Hi crook Marty,
I listend to your song on YT, but here I would like to say as well that you made a good song (again). A very good rhythm and funny, but cleverly crafted lyrics. I am amazed about the speed you're making your songs. Where I need a month (at least) to accomplish one song, you only need a few days!!! At home I already called you the song machine, but perhaps the "hit" machine would be more appropriate? I think you have a troubled relation with your dad... Can I help you on that? And where was your mom? She always believe in her son, doesn't she? Or do you have brothers too?
Marty, till your next song, wednesday I guess??? Hans A rebel, but not officially a crinimal, Hans. Thanks. I got a bunch already done and a bunch more in various stages of completion. Keeps it churning. Nah, my dad's been dead for 32 years and still gives me great advice. My mom just gave us one rule: "If you lie, you cheat; if ya cheat, ya steal' if ya steal, ya hate your mother."

J&B Thanks, J&B. Yeah, the kitchen gets hot when Dave cooks. Glad you commented on how well Dave "plays" the lyrics. Well, let's say in this tale dad denied bail --probably becaue he'd have to put up the family home as collatoral and didn't trust his son not to skip town. Marty what did you do? It wasn't in the news...

Dad pulled in favors and kept the story out of the Pocono Record. Glad you like the up and up part. My favorite part. Drums are always the hardest part to mix for me. WOW, that's a BIG compliment about the S&S trial song. Thanks!

Marty and Dave
You've got a Black Magic Woman thing going on here that is smokin' still the song is all it's own!! Marty your bass work in here is top of the game stuff....love the pattern you are playing throughout! Dave's guitar sounds the best I've heard from him! That solo is incredible with that searing tone! Great song sung very well, and I loved that ending! Thanks, TB

Well that was a different story, bit fun, some bad luck and terrible fate: "I'll have you fried. Don't tell the judge I lied.", maybe this guy deserves what is going to come Just wondering what was the crime, lie and why dad was so scary. Good storytelling and what I'm quite sure, you're guilty of having blues flowing in your veins, another bluesy melody and chords coming so naturally from you. Pleasant band, good vocals and I can see Dave's big smile when he is playing his quality solo. Janne

Yeah, the fact that the lad was willing to off the snitch gives us a great view of his personality. Yes, and what kind of relationship did he have with his dad? And what kind o' guy was his dad to NOT recuse himself? Whatever the crime was he thought he could get rid of the evidence by stashing it in the sewer. Thanks, Janne!! What a great listen!!! Fun tale, sung so well, and with some stellar musicianship!!! Great one guys!! Take care. Greg Thanks, Greg!! And I see you have a new one here and that's where I'm headed.
