Original tune - BB Style: ‘Rampart Celtic Harp Serenade’ with my chords -
this style only contains harp & bass, I added the nylon/ac gtrs, charango,
baritone ronroco, piano plus my own mallet drums + percussion:

SMILE. Yeah, harp and bass, your chords and some superbly fine playing. You are the master of so many trades, Carl. Sweet sounds. This is likely what the trees in the Andes sing to the mountains. Oh, yeah, you mastered that tambourine in the end, too.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Marty - I have never been anywhere near the Andes so I can only
‘dream’ of it’s spirit & atmosphere through my music, very glad
you clocked some of the S. American vibe in this tune!
As always, huge thanks for you very kind comments and for
taking a listen,

Cheers from the UK,

Carl,

Such a lovely composition. Very nice selection of backing tracks.

I've actually been to the Andes - a long time ago (early 1980s). Went to Iquitos, Peru. It's high in the mountains and cannot be accessed by land. We flew in. It's located on a high plateau adjoining the Andes.

I think you captured the true aura of the area. It's quiet and peaceful. As always, your playing is excellent. A most enjoyable listen.

Wishing you well.

Alan

Great, Carl, reminded me of Sting's Shape of my Heart a little bit. Wow, you've got quite an esoteric instrument collection. Really beautiful piece, I love this kind of use of BIAB.

Alan - my inclusion of real instruments from S. America no doubt helped
to create the vibe, all 3 of my 10-stringed instruments (Charango, Ronroco & Baritone Ronroco)
have ‘that sound’ built in! Play 1 chord and you’re instantly transported to Peru or
Bolivia - as it happens mine are made by Pablo Richter in Argentina!
Super glad you liked it - thank you!!

Hope all going well with you & Di!!

Thanks so much Bob - really pleased you thought it sounded ok,
I’m only in a tiny bedroom situation with my little collection of
various instruments - barely 'enough room to swing a cat’
as they say, always loved the sound of these 10-string
S. American instruments (they take you there in an instant).
‘Shape of My Heart’ likeness - that’ll do for me (cheers Bob).

Wow, this is nice. It's like Hotel California meets Hotel Xima Cusco. Like Alan, I too have been to the Andes...Machu Picchu, Moray, and other places I can't spell. And this definitely captures sunsets in those dusty little mountain villages and brings back memories. Another winner, Carl.

Very glad my sounds brought you back to the mountains
Beth - you and Alan are both very lucky to have had the
privilege of a visit to the Andes (I wish?), thanks a lot
for your lovely comments!

Hi, Carl.

Nice playing, and it's got that South American vibe.

You may not have much room, but you do a lot with what you've got! smile

Super chuffed with your generous approval Mario -
I have only experimented with the Andean instruments
in bits up to now, thought I’d have a proper go at it -
glad you enjoyed it, thank you!!

David - great the Andean vibe rubbed off on you,
being in a small room I have to be very careful with
the reverb - subconscious tendency to make up for
the lack of space here by added a little too much,
many thanks for your kind comments!!

This is a beautiful gentle tune, really nicely arranged. I love the charango and am just finishing a new instrumental with that and also vihuela, though it's a very upbeat piece.

Carl,
Fantastic tune. Excellent composition and playing. Mix is outstanding, all nuances are heard well. Nylon string guitar shines. Enjoyed my listen and thank you for sharing.

Misha.
