Hi, Herb. Those are some rocking blues! Nice guitar, too. I've got JamStix, but I can never seem to figure out how to make it work. Glad you didn't press delete on this!

I've been working on this for a while, and a few times I thought seriously about just hitting "DELETE" on this project Never do that - let it sit for a while, weeks, months, it doesn't matter. One day you come back, in a different mood, and your brain has a different idea of where the song should go, and suddenly it works. I had a song (working title: fast hard rock ballad) that was going nowhere, and a month later I almost halved the tempo, changed from 4/4 to 3/4, and voila! Still not a good song, but at least it worked. That being said, your song is not bad at all, a nice little southern rocker with a lot of energy. Billy Gibbons says "hello". Your vocals also fit this genre well, nothing to complain here. The only thing I'd change is the chorus, which is a bit too long (others will disagree I guess). I would split it into 2 lines pre-chorus and 2 lines chorus to keep it short and crisp and varied. Enjoyed my listen. A lot ![[Linked Image - Only viewable when logged in]](https://www.pgmusic.com/forums/images/icons/default/thumbs_up.gif) I have learned NOT to delete something even though I think it's going no where. So..... I'm glad you offered the advice and that you liked it. I don't think I'll spend much more time on it at this point as there are several others now in the pipeline in various stages of incompletion. Thanks for commenting.

Glad you took your finger off that Delete button, Herb. Man, this one is fun to play. Your guitar work really shines with a professional polish. Driving song and so well arranged and played.

Sounds great, Herb, I'm a big fan of blues/rock. You have a good voice for this type of material, and your guitar work is right on the money.
Excellent! When I do blues it tends to be a bit more on the heavier side of things.... Thanks for listening and commenting.

Jamstix.... it seemed to get harder to use after the first version came out. I still have a difficult time figuring out how to do what seems like it should be simple. I'm probably missing something but it seems to me that to get a reasonable version of the drum track for a song, one has to reverse engineer the JS track to fit the song. Like I said, I'm probably missing something that makes it all automatic. Maybe it's time to hit a few videos on this topic. It sounds really good but the amount of work to get it makes it easier to simply use a BB track.

Good rocker - instrumentally, arrangement and vocals! Great to hear you. We love that Hammond B3. Your guitars and the RT’s sound fine on the monitors as does the entire mix.
Enjoyed it and we are glad you did not delete it.
Rock on! J&B
