Hi, Bob. Another song that takes me to a time and place I've heard about but never been to. You've got a great skill of blending sparse lyrics with arrangements that are raw and fit with your vocals. Another excellent song.

Effective vocal interpretation. All the instrumentation choices paint the mental picture that meshes with the lyrics.

We’re reminded of a Daniel Lanois feel to the song. The lush pedal steel against the acoustic guitar adds to the ghostly imagery of the scenes in the lyric. As always, you give us vivid imagery in your lyric, making us see but also feel the emotions. This is wonderful: “Whispers of a brighter dawn In the places where we once belonged” As always again … great vocals, band and mix.
