I downloaded the update files for 2025 Audiophile and the process worked great. The 2025 program files are on my Windows 10 PC, and the 2025 RealTracks and RealDrums are on my old 2024 Audiophile drive. With me so far?
Now I have a new Windows 11 PC and want to install 2025.
But the 2024 Audiophile drive only has install files for 2024, so it can't be used for a 2025 install.
How do I install 2025 now?
Do I install 2024 from the 2024 drive and then update using the 2025 files?
Lots of opportunity to do this wrong, so thought I'd ask, thinking someone has done this.
Don't mind going the help desk route either...

I think you've described the required process exactly.
Install the 2024 Audiophile applications,
then install the downloaded the update files for 2025 Audiophile.
If this will create more than three installs, then do be sure to remove a license from one of the systems before registering the 2024 / 2025 version on your Windows 11.
If you get stuck, the help desk will surely be able to assist you to resolve.

Assuming you will be installing and running Band-in-a-Box on your new PC, except that you will leave the RealTracks and Drums on the Audiophile USB drive... if that's the case then:
1 - Run the Setup file on the 2024 Audiophile drive, choosing the option to install Band-in-a-Box on your internal hard drive.
2 - Install the 2025 Audiophile upgrade download - you can use the Install Manager to do this - make sure to point it to your correct download folder that has the files (or if not you could download them again), point it to the correct bb folder (on your new PC), and the correct RealTracks, and Drums folder locations (on the USB drive).

So it worked (I think)! Couple of thoughts on what I'd do differently if I have to do this again:
1. Be more selective with which files to download and install. The 2025 .FLAC files were already on my Audiophile drive, so I didn't need to download and install them again. But I clicked the "Download All" button a little too quickly. Ended up canceling the install once I got to those, which were thankfully at the end of the file installation queue.
2. Load add-ons like .PAKs from oldest to newest. This may not be necessary, but I loaded from newest to oldest, and kept thinking I MIGHT be overwriting an updated file with an older file. Time will tell, I guess.

Inspired by this part, I added a feature request to our database for the Install Manager - it could be handy to have a checkbox for each item, such that you could select or deselect items before clicking Install All.
