Has anyone else received this letter from Pandora? Dear Pandora listener: As a precaution, we want to make you aware of a situation that could possibly affect your Pandora account. First off, there is no evidence that your Pandora account has been compromised or tampered with in any way. the IRS requires me to change my password every 6 months and the password itself must be a high level one.
Everybody needs to do the same with all online accounts. Believe me I know it's a total PIA because every one of my passwords are hard to remember and I use a password manager to help with that. I only use each password once, no using the same one for more than one account. Changing them on a regular basis makes it hard to keep inventing good, strong new ones so a few of them are simply randomly generated. If someone can't handle that then they can't be on the internet any more. AND, if anyone reading this is using "password" or "123456" or their name and their birthday and crap like that...No, no, no, no

I write a local monthly computer column. Here's a clip from an article a year or so back looking at password constructs. Note that the minimum needed is 8 characters with upper case, lower case and symbols. Also notice that by using a technique called "password padding" i.e. using multiple symbols; the time to crack increases dramatically. This assumes a i5 processor with 16Gb of RAM, running 24 hours a day.

Our new jazz, funk & blues RealTracks include a groovin’ collection of RealTracks and RealDrums! There are new “smooth jazz” styles (4), which include a RealTracks first: muted trumpet, as well as slick new smooth jazz brushes options for drums.
