I beg to differ Pat. In the FAQ it merely states "if Band-in-a-Box or RealBand have been used, etc." It is for users of PG-Music software, which MitchC undoubtedly is, but nowhere can I see that it is specifically for works produced with that software.
On another note, I am sure that PG music is quite capable of administrating their own forum without the help of members. If someone has a gripe they can contact the admin direct.
Mitch, kepp up the good work and keep posting them. Your tracks are an inspiration and I'm sure a motivation to a lot of people. Thanks for sharing.

I stand corrected about the forum rules. As they read today, there is definitely no problem with posting original songs that weren't created or enhanced with any PGMusic products.

And I couldn't agree more about the quality of everything Mitch has posted. He is one talented guy, and who wouldn't appreciate his contributions? Mitch, please accept my apology for speaking incorrectly about the rules. I was wrong.

Regarding whether it is better for users to gently remind one another of the rules, or to "report" one another to the moderators, I would make this comparison:

If I'm speeding, and another passenger points it out to me and asks me to slow down , I would appreciate the friend's concern.

If I'm speeding and I get stopped by the police and ticketed, I would be angry, but I'd probably figure I had it coming and watch my speed thereafter

If I'm speeding and someone else in the car goes behind my back and calls the police on me, and THEN I get a ticket... I would see that as a betrayal and an unnecessary layer of mess when the problem that could have been handled in a simple and friendly way

In my experience, forums where the moderators are "enforcers" have a completely different kind of interaction, and it's NOT better than the climate we enjoy here.
