OK.. someone help me out here. I'll gladly email a small BIAB .sgu file to anyone to verify what's going on here.

I'm doing a track for "Mr. Sandman" to do Chet style playing over. Style is _CHETPCK Chet Pickin (100 RS).

On the guitar track, I've selected Guitar, Electric, Chet Comp EV130 (tempo of tune is 100). This real track does NOT play the correct chords ! ...at least on this progression.. Really weird...1st time I've come across this. Some bars are fine, but most are not even close.

I'm sure it's not some funky setting I've done... seriously, any takers on me emailing the .sgu to you to check out ?

Thanks.

Mitch, maybe you should post that BiaB file so we all can look at it?

Back in my day the only time we started panic buying was when the bartender shouted "last call"!

Sent you the file Tommy. When I get further into it we'll talk about another collab ? Sounds good to me.

Mario, how would I post that file here so all could D/L it ?

I believe you would have to store the file off forum and link to it.

Put below all on one line ... I separated here not to show as link

I don't have a site I can upload stuff to. Just a soundcloud music site.

Take the melody out. Post to soundcloud. At least then it can be heard. Most of us would know that one.

I'm sure I don't want to hear what the heck a b flat bended tele-phone is that Tommy plays.

I've played a bended bflat baritone, the dings don't change the sound, but the pros know otherwise. (They told their wife before emptying the bank account, but it's really gas in the bari section, and if you get a 4 valve deal the others all feel inadequete like a guy standing, ((never mind))...)

Of course I'm trying to decide if my brackets are closed for the next few minutes.

zzz.

Right.

And the con-census is?

Yes, and if sending us a song, remember to freeze the track in queston, that way we hear exactly what you hear, and you can point out which bar has a wrong chord. Typically in the past this type of thing is due to a mistransposed file, and is correctable by a patch at our end.

Have Fun!

Peter, I emailed the file to support last night. Tracks are not frozen though. Does not make a difference.

OK, check it out here: Goes bad around .019 - .025 and then other spots throughout the tune.

MR.SANDMAN - BAD CHET COMP GUITAR TRACK

Yep, that's really funky. The Bm7 , Bm9 are way off, and later the Am7 , Am9 | Cm6 too.

It's not all minor chords, though, since the ii V Dm7, G7 works fine.

Yep, the C#9 F#Aug, B9 (E9 A is good) F9 E9 are really whacky.

As Peter noted, it's probably just a tweak in some translation file ?

Hello Mitch,

The problem doesn't happen in my testing with your .sgu file. What is the date of the file RElGt0122.ST2 in your bb folder? Which version/build of Band-in-a-Box do you have?

Andrew,

At work now so will check the date on that file later tonight. 2012 Audiophile, build 349 - Win 7 64bit

I emailed the file to a few forum members and they all reported getting the same (bad) result... So this will affect more users that me I suspect. Did you listen to the file posted on soundcloud ?
