Just finished viewing the video PG Music posted about using Acidized loops with BIAB 2014 and noticed the loop they used was copied from its original folder to a loop sub folder inside BIAB.
Does BIAB require the loop to be copied into the sub folder or was this done for clarity and convienence? Would a shortcut, hyperlink or some other pointer placed inside the folder work as well?
I ask because I can envision how duplicate loops could take up a lot hard drive storage space over time unless precious time is spent cleaning out the loop sub folder every now and then.
If the loops have to be in a BIAB folder a better solution might be to add a loop location pointer in the folder preferences.

Hi Jim,
Yes, you would need to copy them to the Loops folder. There is no support now for a pointer, though that is a good idea for the future.

Peter, thank you for the quick reply. I look forward to seeing the loop folder location pointer added to a future update. Should I make a feature request in the BIAB wishlist?

Unfortunately Symlink does not work with XP or older operating systems. The site indicated the structure of the older operating systems do not offer the functionality to support symbolic links.
The site also does not indicate the app will work in Win 8 thoughI bet it will.
