Ringo did a good job and has some things about his playing that I like and admire.... but it came down to an average drummer was in the right place at the right time and got hired into a band with none of them having a clue about what lay ahead.
From my perspective....
Being a drummer in bands I see it as stated above.
Nothing flashy or distinctive in his playing.
Average, simple drummer but he was a good fit for Beatles during their era....I guess history proves that.

Although I preferred the Stones over the Beatles I measure Charlie Watts drumming similarly.
They will all be happy to race us to the bank.
