Hi All,

I wrote this song, Angel On The Breadline on visit to San Francisco. I kept seeing this one particular young woman in different areas of the city. It was obvious that she was down on her luck, but she moved with a certain grace. Just one of those moments…

All BIAB RTs - recorded and mixed in GarageBand. Thanks for listening!

Hi, Bob !:))

I liked your song though the
lyrics made me sad (as they
probably were ment to do) !

I pray that she would find
the way back to society again !

Regards
Dani

Hi Robert. Love this one! Especially the drums. Are those the Conga drums? I am trying them out on one of my projects but mine don’t sound nearly as good as yours.

Bob, Nicely understated backing fits the mood and voice just right. Three chords and the truth. You are one of the best on this forum with poetic imagery and this is a fine example of it. I could almost see her walking through the Haight. Great Job!

Hi Joanne,

Thanks!

The drums are "BossaRockPerc1Congas". I did some very minor edits in my DAW to get the sound I was looking for. I've used them many times before - they are one of my favorite RTs.

Yea, those "BossaRockPerc1Congas" and the acoustic bass add a mighty fine mood to this one. Sad, but interesting lyrics -- it's a good listen. Pretty well done, in my opinion. The fiddle was OK, maybe you should try a cello patch. Just a thought.

I dig this Americana/Folk genre. It's free and original and open to any subject matter, and this song embodies those ideas. It's honest and real and well written.

Love this song, the mix, the production and the performance.

Awesome. It's really hard to add to what Tom said. There's a cornucopia of great lines in this one tune. Never stilted and always thought provoking. The kind of imagery that sets the scene, provides the dots but allows the listener to fill in a bit. Janice and I are both fans and your latest makes us even more so!

Bob -

My favorite of all yours that I've heard. Terrific imagery with just the right amount if "leave it to the imagination".

Excellent mix. The congas are right where they need to be. The fiddle is very nicely done. One of your best vocals, too - and the harmonies were nice. And... loved the ending.

Very enjoyable.
