I like this. Nice melody and the lyrics are interesting as well. This is one of my favorite musical styles. 70's country rock, what a great time for the music. Poco, Eagles, The "Hot" band, MTB, PPL....

Welcome to the family. You're going to be posting some good stuff..... I can tell.

My observations on the song you posted. The vocals sound good. Interesting character to them. The backing mix is a bit low. Especially the fills and solos, need to come up quite a bit. They were way to far in the background when they should have been in the spotlight. In fact I would raise the backing levels on just about everything to fit around the vocals better. All of that is simply a "levels" adjustment issue. The parts themselves were spot on and tasty.

Nice harmony vocal parts. There's a lot to like here.

Great first post and song. I'm going to listen on cans later.

It's later on cans: Intro is hard right about 80% or so. Is that breathing I hear in the beginning? Acoustic, bass, and drums centered. Vocals are too loud for the background mix. fills need to come up. I'd also pull the fills closer to center of the sound stage. I like the piano.... it's nice and crisp sounding but it's on the hard right. Nothing wrong with that but I didn't hear anything on the left to balance it. Most of the fills and BGV are right sided. Try to be conscientious about providing a balance, what you do on one side of a mix needs to be balanced by something on the other. The guitar solo/fill is balanced.

I really like this song. I'm on the 6th listen as I'm writing this. I rarely listen that many times to anything other than something I'm mixing.

My comments are nit pickey but are intended to assist you in getting a better mix.

Looking forward to hearing more from you.
