Could we please have a means by which a song that is a good or even perfect fit to a song (or should that he vice versa?) can be advised to and added by PG? Something interactive perhaps?
Or even at the least, come to think if it, just to be able to add to our own BIAB database for future ref?

Ian

See this thread for more details on this good request: http://www.pgmusic.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=341903#Post341903

If there could be a way for users to add their own entries, it should be a separate file so it isn't overwritten by PG Music's own periodic updates.

As mentioned, a Global 'User List' or similar that could be delivered as part of updates etc.
Good idea for sure.

Definite +1.

In fact, whenever you finish a song, you should be able to capture the style you used and the song title (and artist, although you may have to provide that information) and save it in the database (unless of course, it already exists in the database). That way the next time you do a song "in the style of" either that previous song or that previous artist, the style you have already used shows up as a possibility.

Just a thought.

Yes, I do like that. Many users who write lots of songs could quickly find 'that style'.

I rarely use a style unmodified anymore so the database would need a method of recording if the style has been modified in any way e.g. by using an extra track or custom midi track or an RT track. These alterations can often turn an unlikely style into something that works well.

I find that too. My Workaround is to make that particular Franken-Style into a NEW Style using Stylemaker giving it a short name that means something to ME.
I then use a word doc "BIAB-own styles" into which I copy and paste the Style Info from Memo so I can get back to it if I want to use it again sometime.
The good thing is that if you refresh Styles at any time, it always finds my Own Styles too - I just have to look them up in my Word doc.
