I was wondering, if I have biab going(playing a song), can I record that into powertracks? I'm a newbie at this : ]

Yes but why not just drag the master track via the drop station into power tracks or the individual tracks.
To record what is playing set power tracks input to stereo mix.

Hello Flashbak and welcome to the forum!
Your posting may get more views and responses if you repost your question in the Band-in-a-Box section of the forum.
This section, Tips and Trick's, is primarily for sharing shortcuts and ideas that help users to be more productive.
You should be able to use PowerTracks (PT) to record the sound output of a song playing in Band-in-a-Box (BiaB) but the capability depends somewhat on what hardware your computer has and how your computer operating system is configured and what versions of PT and BiaB are you using. Providing that information will help us provide you with an accurate answer.
As Pipeline mentioned in his response, it may be simpler to export wavefiles from BiaB and import the waveforms into PT.

You can definitely bring BIAB tracks into PowerTracks, but I have to ask the question. Why not use RealBand instead of PowerTracks? RealBand is PowerTracks with built-in BIAB features, but otherwise pretty much operates exactly the same.
RealBand lets you even open up the BIAB file and generate it directly in RealBand, similar to what happens in BIAB.
